Hey, haven’t seen you guys since you toured Minneapolis w/ MLD (who sucked live, I was actually a fan of theirs until that night) and Jay stopped by our table after your set, and had a beer with us–was sort of special since “Crush Story” was our song. Jay even stopped hitting on my now ex-wife, when he found out we were engaged. Lets just say Crush Story is NOT our song anymore. Looking for someone new. (NOFX This is My Detox?)
Sure would be swell if you could get a gig in the Twin Cities.
I have no idea how you go about playing again at 1st Ave/7th St Entry (it is our little local home of fame and launched the careers of a few little local acts, like Hüsker Dü, The Replacements, Babes in Toyland, Dillinger Four, Soul Asylum, The Suicide Commandos, The Suburbs, etc.–bunch of people I am sure you never heard off. LoL. Or got yelled at to “turn that noise down” 🙄 While it is no CBGB, it is still done its share for our hometown punks (and Prince–at least that is what we called him before something happened to his name–did something there at one time). It was pretty cool to take my daughter to her first show there. We have lost the Triple Rock (immortalized by NOFX) , but if you are dying to get here, you might try Palmer’s Bar, 331 Club, Turf Club, Mortimers, Memory Lanes (who doesn’t want to play a gig in a bowling alley?).
Did I say Jay or Tim? It was Tim, who sat at our table, and Jay who was talking to me while I was trying to type…
